| Learning outcomes: Students will develop, expand and deepen their specialized and methodological knowledge on the following points in relation to the following topics:
 
 Ethical questions and general terms:
 Integration of ethical questions on cultural policy e.g.
 
 interculturality, interreligiousness, intergenerationality, inclusion of children, young people and older people, as well as people with disabilities, gender and queer debates in the cultural field and in cultural policy.
 
 A. Cultural Policy
         Basics of cultural policy with special consideration of target groups (traditional population groups and current scenes and milieus, cultural institutions, organizations and networks),
         The system of cultural policy management in the Federal Republic, the federal states and local authorities
         Cultural policy design (capability) at local, regional and interregional level
         Economic and social dimensions of cultural management
         Work of cultural policy players - on- and offline
 
 B. Cultural Sociology
 
         Analysis of the relationship between culture and society
         Fundamentals of cultural sociology with a special focus on cultural players, institutions, organizations and networks
         Cultural-sociological analyses of current scenes and milieus (scenes, event culture, etc.)
         Forms of cultural production and consumption
 Socialization, mediation, reception and appropriation of culture
 
 
 After successfully completing this module, students will:
         have insight into the cultural policy sector and understand its special features
         be able to analyze and present specific issues of cultural policy and sociology
         have a cross-sectoral understanding of target group-oriented cultural policy, taking into account target group-specific approaches to "culture"
 
 International and intercultural relevance:
         Involvement with international institutions and organizations in the field of cultural policy, with particular emphasis on the Saar-Lor-Lux region
         Use of examples from international institutions, organizations and networks in the field of cultural policy
         Introduction to the reality of cultural policy and sociology in professional practice
 
 Practical relevance:
         Cultural policy and sociological concepts and methods with high relevance for all cultural sectors
         Development of personal, social and intercultural skills: students will expand and deepen their skills in intercultural communication
         Projects, guest lectures, excursions (together with students from different semesters and programs)
         Students will have improved their methodological skills in the application of modern presentation techniques, project and team work, and scientific work.
 
 After successfully completing this module, students will:
 
         Be able to understand, analyze and map issues and particularities of cultural policy and sociology in planning and control models
         understand the planning and control methods of cultural policy
         be able to describe, develop, plan and design cultural policy strategies
         be able to carry out socio-cultural analyses and comparisons

         Basics of cultural policy: Terms, spheres, fields of work and players in cultural policy, significance, integration in social policy, differentiation from educational policy, state of research and teaching
         History, development, theories and examples of cultural policy in the Federal Republic (federal government, states and municipalities), and in Europe
         German-French cultural policy, especially in the SaarLoLux region
         Cultural policy in digital society: Internet - Power - Culture
         Cultural policy and cultural mangement: Conflicts and opportunities
 
 B. Cultural Sociology
 
         Basics of cultural sociology: concepts, significance, its place in sociology, current state of research and teaching
         Relationship between culture and society: Enculturation
         Acculturation
         Players in cultural sociology: producers, intermediaries, recipients, media
 
         Intercultural competence: Terms, meaning, classification in (intercultural) cultural policy, distinction from education policy, state of research and teaching
