Learning outcomes:
After successfully completing this module, students will: ● be able to make use of the most important academic soft skills (e.g. time management, reading proficiency, critical thinking, and problem-solving) ● know the vocabulary and structures used to express ideas in their respective academic fields ● be able to identify ways in which to improve their pronunciation of difficult words in the field of academic vocabulary ● be able to make good use of authentic oral texts, i.e. by listening to lectures, to improve their academic English ● be able to actively participate in a range of interactional settings, such as group discussions and question-and-answer sessions ● be able to formulate their own ideas with precision ● be able to produce clear and detailed oral descriptions of rather complex topics ● be familiar with the basic academic presentation techniques and demonstrate an understanding of the structure and development of academic presentations ● be able to prepare and deliver an academic presentation
