Workload:
Workload of student for successfully completing the course. Each ECTS credit represents 30 working hours. These are the combined effort of face-to-face time, post-processing the subject of the lecture, exercises and preparation for the exam.

The total workload is distributed on the semester (01.04.-30.09. during the summer term, 01.10.-31.03. during the winter term).
The total student study time for this course is 360 hours.

Learning outcomes:
Students will gain experience working in an engineering capacity and in a typical working environment in industry or in a public institution. The work experience phase also provides students with their first opportunity to become acquainted with the employment market.

Module content:
Work in a suitable company or institution at home or abroad. Minimum duration: 12 weeks. The work experience phase is closely supervised by a member of the HTW professorial staff. Students are required to produce an interim and a final report. In addition, each student will give an oral presentation of their work placement activity.
