Learning outcomes:
After successfully completing this module students will be familiar with the functional areas of a company and will be able to identify their interaction with reference to the Smart Cubes project, i.e. their influence on the design of the system (e.g. requirements QA, shipping, personnel, etc.). Students will learn how to behave in an industrial, intercultural environment. Using case studies, students will have learned which solution strategies are necessary to identify and eliminate supply bottlenecks, liquidity problems, declining sales, etc. They will be able to perform simulations using modern digital tools (software) in order to shorten the times e.g. for material flow, business planning, etc. and reduce costs.
